An easy way to save space on your Internet browser favorites or bookmarks bar is to remove each bookmark’s description. Most people can identify their bookmarks by the favicon associated with the page.
On the bottom row of the above picture is an example of our bookmarks bar. As shown, there are 16 different bookmarks that only show the favicons. Normally having this many bookmarks would have exceeded the available space on the bar and make it more time consuming to find your favorite page.
To remove the page title from a bookmark, follow the steps below.
- Right-click the bookmark.
- Click Edit or Properties.
- For the name of the bookmark, erase everything and then click Ok.
Repeat these steps for each of your bookmarks. You can also rename the bookmark to another name to help you organize it or remember it better.
