- Remove the cover from the coffee spout. Lift them from bottom to top, using only plastic tools to pry.

- Unscrew the two Torx T10 screws on the coffee spout.
- Pull off the coffee spout.

- Using a Torx T10 screwdriver remove the single screw from the bean container.
- Lift the bean container up and remove it.

- The large silver-colored molded part above the top and front is now only fastened with catches, which can, however, be quite stuck. Only use plastic tools to pry loose.
- Slide the cup holder all the way down.
- Start to pry off the molded part at the back seam, the catches gradually loosen with a loud crack.
- It’s a bit tricky to slide the cover over the steam valve knob, you need some strength to do it.
- Under the bean container, you’ll find the white magnetic contact (reed contact) for the bean container lid. Lift it up and drop it through the opening in the molding.
- Lift up the cover.

- A screw at the top
- Four screws on the front
