What you need

Step 1

              Accessories               
  • Remove the lid, steamer pot, and tray from the base unit.

              Bottom Cover               
  • Flip the base unit over.
  • Remember to unplug your rice cooker before proceeding with teardown.
  • Remove the two Phillips screws.
  • Set aside all screws, keeping them in order by steps to help reconstruction.
  • Remove the bottom cover.

Step 3

              Fuse               
  • Remove the three Phillips screws
  • Remove the fuse from the unit.

Step 4

              Front Panel and Lever               
  • Flip the unit over.
  • Remove the two Phillips screws.
  • Flip the unit back over.

Step 5

              Front Panel and Lever               
  • Remove the single Phillips Screw.
  • Bend the tabs inward with needle nose pliers to mirror the shape of the hole below it.
  • Be careful not to bend these tabs too much or too far, for they break off easily if bent back and forth too many times.
  • Lift the lever out of the tab.
  • Carefully pull the front panel and lever out the front of the base.

Remove the single Phillips Screw.

Bend the tabs inward with needle nose pliers to mirror the shape of the hole below it.

Be careful not to bend these tabs too much or too far, for they break off easily if bent back and forth too many times.

Step 6

              Circuit Board               
  • Remove the Phillips screw.
  • Carefully remove the circuit board from the front panel.

Step 7

              Heating Coil               
  • Remove the nut using an adjustable wrench.
  • Remove the power connector extender.
  • Remove the three Phillips Screws.
  • This screw is slightly longer than the other two.
  • The heating coil will fall out after the removal of the last screw. Holding the coil while unscrewing the last screw is suggested to prevent damage to the coil.

Step 8

              Thermomagnet               
  • Bend the three tabs flat.
  • Remove the thermomagnet assembly from the heating coil.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
