- Make sure your Palm Pre 2 is turned off before taking apart the phone.
- Use a plastic opening tool to remove the rear cover. Slide the opening tool along the slit to release the plastic tabs.

- Pull on the tab to remove the battery.
- If the battery will not connect, insert a thin piece of cardboard between where the battery lies and the phone.
