  • Make sure your Palm Pre is turned off before disassembling the phone.
  • Snap off the back panel to reveal the battery.

  • Carefully pull up on the tab to remove the current battery.

  • Locate the volume cavity on the right of the back frame.

  • Take your new volume button and slide in into the slot until the opposite end clicks.
