              Jammed/Broken Buttons               
  • Remove the outside covering.
  • Remove batteries/energy source and place it somewhere safe.
  • Unscrew any screws you see on the inside of the casing. (make sure to remember what screws go where).

  • Start to carefully detach the back of the phone case off.
  • Go up and down each sides slowly prying it off.
  • Make sure not to damage anything inside during this step.

  • Unscrew the inside screws, and make sure not to damage the circuitry.
  • Place the screws somewhere safe and remember where they go.

  • Look at all of the parts and try to identify what you are working with.
  • Remove any loose parts you are not going to be fixing.

  • Carefully remove the circuitry and cords without disconnecting anything.
  • Get all parts that you are not fixing out of the way, and get to the buttons in the front.

  • Identify the broken/jammed button.
  • Replace the button and make sure to put the button back how you found it.
