The phone will not hold calls.

The battery may be corroded, preventing the phone from holding a call. If battery is not corroded, then replace the batteries.

Move the charging base to a different power outlet. If the charging base still does not work, then replace the base unit.

The display screen is broken, cracked, or not displaying any information.

Allow the handset to recharge. If the screen is still not displaying any information, then replace the screen.

Remove the cracked screen and replace.

Ensure that the power cord is plugged into a wall outlet. If the screen is still not displaying any information, then replace the screen.

There is static sound in the earpiece while on a call.

A earpiece can be damaged if the phone is dropped or mishandled. If the earpiece appears to be broken and does not transmit clearly, replace the earpiece.

Interference from an outside source will cause static. Check the other phones to see if there is static in those headsets as well. If there is static in the other headsets, replace one headset.

Check the cord plugged into the base unit and make sure it is fully connected to both the phone and wall outlet, and check the whole length of the cord for damage. If the cord is securely plugged in and there is still static, or if the cord is damaged, then replace the cord.

No sound is going through the phone.

If no sound is being transmitted, make sure the mute button is not enabled. Turn off repeater mode on the base unit. If sound still won’t transmit, then replace the base unit.

If no sound is being transmitted or there is frequency interference, and the phone line is connected to a modem, remove power from the modem. Do so by unplugging the modem from the wall jack and disconnecting the battery (if equipped). Wait 30 seconds, then reinsert the battery (if equipped). Plug the modem into a wall jack, then wait 5 minutes. If this does not fix the issue, replace the base unit.

When activating the speakerphone feature, the phone drop the call or stop working.

If using the speakerphone causes the phone to drop the call or stop working, then the batteries my need charging. If charging the batteries does not solve the issue, replace the batteries.

If activating the speakerphone feature causes the phone to drop the call or stop working, check the speaker wire connections on the motherboard by lightly pulling them with tweezers to see if they are damaged, loosely connected or not connected at all. If so, then replace the wires and/or re-solder them to the motherboard.
