- First, you will need to sand down the rough edges around the hole in fuel tank.

- Once the hole is smooth. Apply fuel patch with q-tip over hole and the surrounding edges.

- Make sure that the ointment is spread thickly over the hole.

- Avoid having air pockets in the ointment. Air pockets may make the patch less effective or not seal at all.

- Once the ointment is spread over smoothly, you will need to rub the edges out so there is no edge that can be caught on something.

- Let the patch dry over.

- When there are no leaks start riding. Your tank is now patched. Check up on patch after ride to make sure it is still sealed.
