Introduction
The video below details air filter replacements for CPAP and BiPAP machines. Although this is not specifically the BiPAP S/T device, it can be used as an aid for better understanding.
For more information on replacing the air filter in the ventilator, please refer to page 6-27 in the service manual.

- Disconnect the device from the power source to stop airflow.
- To avoid electrical shock, always unplugged the power cord from the wall outlet before cleaning the device.

- Remove the filter from the enclosure by gently squeezing the filter in the center and pulling it away from the device.

- Examine the filter for cleanliness and quality.
- If the foam filter is torn, replace it. (Only Philips Respironics-supplied filters should be used as replacement filters.)
- A dirty inlet filter may cause high operating temperatures that may affect device performance. Regularly examine the inlet filter.

- Wash the gray foam filter in warm water with a mild detergent.
- Rinse thoroughly to remove all detergent residue.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinstalling it.
- Never install a wet filter into the device. You must ensure sufficient drying time.

- Reinstall the filter.
- To install, insert gray foam filter into the filter area.
- A properly installed, undamaged filter is required for proper operation.

Why is there a gray blue material coming out on the output filter. It has been doing for over two years. Is it killing me. My bi pa was recalled over a year ago, when are they going to replace it ?
