Introduction
Disassembly of an iron can sometimes be tricky; this one has one hidden screw.
What you need
Step 1
remove screws
- Philips Comfort 215 Iron:
- Remove the two phillips screws at the back.
- Remove the turning knob to reveal the third screw. The knob can be lifted once it is in the right orientation; it needs very little force.
- The top cover can now be removed

Step 2
releasing the wire, replacing
- The connectors are held in place by a peg; release them by pushing a small lever in the middle of the connector.
- Here the old connectors have been soldered to the new wire; the joint has been covered with heat-shrink tubing.
- As always, take care that the wire is routed correctly through the top cover and entry guide before connecting everything
