Introduction
Figured I’d take a look, expecting I would have to buy a fancy bulb to replace the original.
Turned out to be a 3€ fix that I gladly did.
Sharing the very trivial steps to show that it can be done.
What you need
Step 1
Remove the stand
- Slide the flathead screwdrive beneath the plastic stand and press slightly to unfasten it.
- Repeat on the other side, then remove the stand.

don’t touch the glass light bulb with your hands. use something like a tissue as the grease from you’re skin goes onto the glass and ‘fries’ when the lamp heats up. desichuck x

Hello, thank you so much for this! It saved my Infracare, as it had fallen in an earthquake and the bulb inside was broken. I replaced the bulb with a Philips Halogen Bulb 200w R7 Linear and it is back to working again. Much appreciated!
Also, thanks to Des for the bulb handling tip. I used my dish washing gloves and a tissue to hold the bulb. Thanks!

Any idea how I can replace the front screen on this device? Where could I buy one? It has ripples/lines in the red filter part showing plain white light coming through 😩😩😩
