Introduction

The top cover just simply serves as a cover for the inside of the ventilator, making sure that the parts of the ventilator within are protected. Damage to this could also damage the inside of the ventilator so it would be good to replace/repair it as quickly as possible.

What you need

Step 1

              shut down the ventilator               
  • Press and release the ON/Shutdown key, opening the Shutdown window in the screen.
  • Select Ventilator Shutdown, which will shut down the ventilator.
  • Improper shutdown may cause a Power has been restored message the next time the ventilator is turned on.

Step 2

              disconnect from power               
  • Disconnect the ventilator from the AC power.

Disconnect the ventilator from the AC power.

Step 3

              How to Disconnect a Philips Respironics V60               
  • Unplug the ventilator

  • Disconnect the internal battery from the power harness connector.

Disconnect the internal battery from the power harness connector.

Step 5

              Top Cover               
  • Turn the captive D-ring fastener on the bottom of the panel counter-clockwise one-quarter turn and release.
  • Then remove the right side panel.

Turn the captive D-ring fastener on the bottom of the panel counter-clockwise one-quarter turn and release.

Then remove the right side panel.

Step 6

  • Remove the 4 screws using a screwdriver.
  • Remove the top cover.

Remove the 4 screws using a screwdriver.

Remove the top cover.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
