Crosshatch adds an overlay of fine straight lines in an X creating a hatching texture. Its parameters are stroke length, sharpness, and strength.
It differs from the Angled Strokes filter which uses the image colors for its lines and Dark Strokes which creates a rich, higher contrast effect. Crosshatch uniformly applies hatching over the original image to create a texture on the original image.
Crosshatch works on 8 Bit, RGB, grayscale, and Multichannel images, and Smart Objects. This filter is part of the Filter Gallery, and launches another window with options.
Crosshatch is part of Adobe Photoshop’s Extended Filters.
