Introduction
Spare parts: 1 piece battery Plantronics 70868-01 Li-ion-plm 0.444Wh
The housing CANNOT be opened non-destructively, the housing is not designed for repair. The two halves of the thick electronics compartment are held together by four tabs. The tabs are glued. The binding points on the microphone neck remain closed during the repair.
To gently open the electronics compartment, the 4 tabs must be separated. The tab positions are 20mm and 52mm from the rear of the headset.
2 options:
A: Cut tab
or B: Mill a groove on each side of the housing at the specified positions to expose the lug. Release the tabs and open the housing.
Desolder the battery, change it and solder in the new battery.
Temporarily plug the housing together and charge the headset.
If it works, close the case
A: If the tabs were cut off, secure the case halves with tape or reattach them with liquid glue.
B: After changing the battery, re-glue the tabs of the housing cover to the underside of the housing and close the grooves evenly.
