Modem
- Remove the Ni-Cad battery from the PowerBook 180.
- Slide the arrows toward the front of the computer until the battery can slide out.

- Removing the screws securing the bottom plate from the PowerBook 180.
- There are 5 Torx T8 screws, 4 of which are located on the bottom and 1 on the back above the modem port.

- Your computer should look like the two pictures after the bottom plate is removed.

- Locate the modem board, which is next to the DC-in port.
- There are two Torx T8 screws marked in red in the pictures. Remove these screws and pull up on the modem board to remove.
- To reassemble your PowerBook, follow these instructions in reverse.
