The Problem Steps Recorder or Steps Recorder is a feature first introduced in Windows 7 and included with Windows 8 and Windows 10. It allows the user to walk someone else through a problem they can’t describe with only words. With the Problem Steps Recorder, the user can record all of the keystrokes and windows the user sees that led up to the error or problem. The recording process facilitates troubleshooting the error, as you can view each event that preceded it.
