  • Remove both 4 mm screws on the top of the tablet with a PH00 screw driver.

  • Use the blue plastic opening tool to pry open the tablet.
  • You will hear popping sounds. That’s okay.
  • Be careful when using the blue plastic opening tool on the side of the device near the speakers, as there is a wire here that connects the speakers to the motherboard.

Step 3

  • Remove three 4 mm screws from the motherboard.

  • Insert a spudger under the black tape that connects the silver wire to the interior of the front panel
  • Pull back the black tape with the spudger until it can be lifted up with your fingers.
  • Use your fingers to grab and lift the remainder of the black tape from device panel.

Step 5

  • Use a plastic opening tool to push back the ZIF connector to release the ribbon wire on the motherboard.

Step 6

  • Insert an opening tool underneath the silver base of the internal device element.
  • Use the opening tool to pry the element out of the case that holds the screen.
  • You will need to release a number of clips in order to remove the screen.
  • Be careful not to damage the motherboard or battery as you go.
