  • Begin the tear down with a Phillips PH00 screwdriver.
  • Remove two 1.2mm x 3mm Phillips screws.

  • Use a plastic opening tool to pry open the case.
  • Do not remove the back case completely as tape has to be removed from the wires, and pulling the case apart can tear off the wires that connect to the speaker.

  • Carefully remove the tape over the wires connecting the speaker to the motherboard.

  • Remove the speaker unit from the tablet and set aside.
