- For larger keys, such as the space bar or shift keys, the axel underneath needs to be released by gently pulling it out and away from the center of the keyboard with the metal spudger.

- Ensure the keys are in alignment with the groves on the keyboard. Press the keys into the keyboard to lock them in place. Do not apply too much force while pressing the keys into the keyboard.

You described how to remove a key cover. You did not describe how to remove a key switch and whether or not replacement switches may be purchased.
