              Back Panel               
  • Be sure to power off the device before beginning.
  • Use a Torx T5 screwdriver to remove the ten 3 mm screws along the edge of the back panel.

  • Remove the back panel from the laptop by sliding it away from the hinge.
  • This device is missing the battery. Make sure to detach the battery connector before proceeding with laptop repairs.

              Display               
  • Remove the two 5mm Phillips #00 screws.

  • Remove the plastic panel.

  • Remove one 3mm Phillips #00 screw from the metal plate.

  • Repeat the previous three steps on the opposing side.

Step 7

  • Gently open the device with your hands and separate the display from the keyboard.
  • The device will make a popping or cracking sound when the two pieces separate. This is normal.
