- Turn the base over. You have the part with the socket stick over the edge of a desk, so that the rest of the base can rest on the table

- Using a sharp knife, cut a circle in the foam rubber directly below the socket for the arm. You can feel the right place as there is an opening underneath, so the rubber is less firm there.

- The socket for the arm is connected to thread. That thread is fastened to the base by a bolt nut that presses on washer. The bolt nut can become loose, which in turn makes the socket wobbly, as it is not firmly attached to the base.
- Tighten the nut. A standard hex wrench does not fit in the opening of the base. You can use a pair of angled pliers or use your hand. It is handy that the socket can be slightly turned against the nut, so even if you do not have the idea tool, gripping the socket with one hand and the nut with pliers or your fingers suffices to slowly tighten it.
