Repairing Canon PowerShot Lens Error E-18
- Place camera lens facing upwards on the table.
- Press and hold down the power button.
- Simultaneously press down the shutter button.

- Replace the batteries in the camera.
- To open the battery cover slide the black lever on the underside of the camera and pull the cover toward the front.
- Remove the old batteries from the camera and wait a few moments.
- Put in a fresh set of batteries.
- Close battery slide and power camera back on.

- Put blow dryer in the “no heat” setting prior to plugging it in.
- Plug in and turn the blow dryer on.
- Blow air in the gaps between the lens.

In conclusion, using this guide to fix the E-18 on the lens of the Canon PowerShot A80,will allow the camera to capture photos once again. To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
