- Plug your toaster back in and test it to see if the lever stays down.

- (Optional): To clean the toaster, make sure it is unplugged, empty the crumb tray and then clean out all visible residue.
- Note: Compressed air, wooden skewers, and slightly damp, lint free cloths are most helpful when cleaning your toaster.
- Be sure that the toaster is completely dry from cleaning before you reassemble it.
