  • Place the hand mixer so the bottom is facing you.
  • There are three long #2 Phillips screws in recessed holes. remove those.
  • Keep the screws safe.

  • With a little force pull the upper part of the housing upwards

  • Lay the device on the table with the underside.
  • The two spur gears are clearly visible, probably also the worn areas in the helical gearing.

Step 5

  • The spur gears are fixed from above by a metal plate. This metal plate is inserted into a large plastic tab on both sides.
  • Gently push one of the two tabs outwards a little until the metal plate comes out of the slot.
  • Lift the metal plate complete with the controller and tensioner up and away and set it aside.
  • The two clamps for the stirring inserts are on top of the spur gears. Just lift them out

  • Lift out the two spur gears.
  • There is a plastic washer on the axle of the spur gears. Transfer that to the two spare parts.
  • Before you put everything back together, you should clean the inside of the device well.
  • Grease the parts with a little food-grade silicone grease.

Work the steps in reverse order to reassemble your device.
