              Remove cover and headphone jack               
  • To remove the cover and the headphone jack, follow the instructions of this guide.

              Removing the Battery Housing               
  • Disconnect the battery ribbon cable.
  • Using a flat object, squeeze the battery bracket on the side of the headphone jack out of the bracket. It should be a robust flat object as some force is needed to get the battery out. Using too much force can damage the case.
  • Carefully pull out the battery ribbon cable together with the battery.

Step 3

              Removing the battery from the housing               
  • Remove the screw cover on the ribbon cable side (the cover is stuck).
  • Remove the screw and cover. The cover is wedged in on one side and therefore you need some patience to get the cover out.
  • The old battery can then be replaced. Pay attention to the type designation of the old and new battery when replacing it.
