- Separate the shell from the main component.
- Check to ensure each piece is free from debris.

- Remove the casing from the heating element.
- For reassembly, reattach the silver casing before the black cover.

- Take the head of the hairdryer and pull the pieces apart.

- Remove the black vent from the grey cylindrical piece.

- If there is lint in the vent, use tweezers or a toothbrush to extract it from the vent.
