Riddell Football Helmet Facemask
- If the helmet has a visor remove this from the facemask first.
- Visors are typically attached by screws to the facemask itself, although different models have different attachment systems.

Step 2
- Using the Riddell Quick Release tool (or a suitable alternative) press the center button of the quick release fastener to unlock the attachment.
- Once unlocked you will end up with a washer from the back of the attachment and the top releasing mechanism.

- Unscrew the top two attachments with a screw driver at the top of the facemask.

- Slip off the four plastic clips and attach them onto the same spots on the new facemask.
- The plastic clips for the top screws and the bottom quick release attachments are different so it is very important to keep them separate.

- Screw the top two attachments back at the top of the helmet.
- Make sure the facemask is centered on the helmet.

- If necessary one might need to move the internal padding of the helmet to better access and maneuver these pieces.
- Prepare to reattach the quick release attachments on the sides of the helmet by inserting the top releasing mechanism into the plastic fastener and aligning the back washer on the inside of the helmet.

- If necessary, make sure that the quick release mechanism is pressed, you may need to use the Quick Release tool.
- Simply use your fingers to press together the back and front of the quick release attachments to lock them into place.

- Lastly, if necessary reattach the visor.
- If there is no visor to reattach, then the helmet is completed.
