The device will not respond.

The battery might need to be replaced with a new one due to old age or internal reasons. Please look at our replacement guide for “Battery” to learn how to replace the battery pack.

The device is probably not turning on because the battery pack is not fully charged. Plug the battery into charger before using.

The drive gear is the source of power for rotation if it is missing, loose, or broken it needs to be replaced for the drill to function normally. Check out our replacement guide for “drive gears.”

The drill does not stop after the trigger is released.

There might be a problem with the switch trigger mechanism on the drill which causes the trigger to get stuck and not respond. To replace it please look at our replacement guide for “Switch Trigger” to see a step by step guide on how to replace the trigger.

There might be an internal issue with the wiring. Pop open the drill and diagnose the problem. If the wire is loose simply put it back in place. However, if the wire is visibly damaged than please look at wire replacement guides provided by ifixit.

When you press the button for the function, the light does not turn on.

The LED light probably was overused and so, the LED needs to be replaced. Please check out our replacement guide for “LED light” to understand the process.

The LED light is probably not working because the battery pack is not fully charged. Plug the battery into charger before using.

The device gets hot and unintentionally shuts off.

If the battery is not faulty, then the motor is probably dirty or worn-out. To learn how to replace a motor please look at replacement guides found on ifixit.com

The driver will not spin at the desired speed.

This function is probably not working because the battery is not fully charged. Plug the battery in overnight and it should work.
