Remote Control Battery
- Flip the remote over so that the buttons are facing down and the end with the wrist strap is nearest your right hand.

- Press and hold the black tab above the battery compartment.
- While holding down the tab with your left hand, slide down the battery compartment cover with your right hand to remove it.

- Remove the batteries by placing a finger on one end of the battery and pushing downward while pulling the battery out.

- Unscrew one 7 mm Phillips #0 screw from the center of the battery compartment.

- Gently pry open the remote using the plastic opening tool.

- Separate the top and bottom of the remote casing.
- Gently place each half of the remote onto a table so that the exteriors are face down.
- The remote buttons, sensors, and motherboard are not attached to anything inside the remote. Take apart the remote with caution to ensure these components do not accidentally fall out.

- Carefully flip over the front casing side of the remote so that the buttons drop onto the table.
- If the buttons do not drop immediately, use your fingers to peal them off the front casing of the remote.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

Do you have a source for getting replacement buttons? I have volume buttons that don’t work and was hoping to fix them/ replace them. Thank you!

Hi Patrick,
I literally just finished successfully fixing my volume-up button.
The replacement part number for the right microswitches is EVQ-P7J01P, available at Digi-Key:

Really inexpensive (around 30 cents each). Pro-tip - to help remove the old switch easily, cut it in half with sharp side-cutters.
