  • Place the roller skate so the heel is touching the table and the toe is pointing up.

  • Loosen the nut with the wrench.

  • Twist the toe stop off with your hand.

  • Twist and remove the washer, split lock washer, and nut with your hand.

  • Place the nut, split lock washer, and washer on your new toe stop.

  • Align the thread of the toe stop screw with the thread on the skate.
  • The threads on the bolt are a soft metal and can bend, chip or break if you force the thread when screwing the toe stop back on.

  • Twist the toe stop back on with your hand.

  • Tighten the nut with the wrench to secure the toe stop in place.
  • Do not over tighten the nut as this can damage the threads on the toe stop or the skate.
  • You will know it’s tight enough when you can no longer twist the toe stop off with your hand.
