What you need

Step 1

              Backplate
  • Remove the ten 5 mm screws that hold the backplate using the Phillips #000 screwdriver.

  • Remove the backplate.

Remove the backplate.

Step 3

              Battery
  • Remove the six 5mm screws that hold the battery by using the Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Step 4

  • Disconnect the battery from the motherboard and remove the battery.

Disconnect the battery from the motherboard and remove the battery.

Step 5

              Track Pad
  • Disconnect the track pad from the motherboard.

Disconnect the track pad from the motherboard.

Step 6

  • Peel the tape on the track pad back.
  • Unscrew the five 2mm screws with the Phillips #0 screwdriver.
  • Rotate the track pad out of the case.

Peel the tape on the track pad back.

Unscrew the five 2mm screws with the Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Rotate the track pad out of the case.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
