              Back Cover               
  • Turn the laptop upside down so that the underside of the laptop is facing you.
  • Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to unscrew the 4.3 mm screws located on the edges and corners of the laptop.

  • Lift the cover to reveal the interior of the laptop.

              Charger Port               
  • Unscrew the 4.3mm screws holding down the plastic cover using a #000 screwdriver. After the screws are out remove the cover.
  • Remove the 4.3 mm screw holding down the metal cover using a #000 screwdriver.

Step 4

  • Disconnect the charging port from the motherboard by gently tugging on the plastic part of the connection.

Step 5

  • Wedge a plastic opening tool or spudger in between the laptop casing and the port. Pry until you feel it release.
  • This will take some force because the port is glued to the casing.

Step 6

  • Remove the disconnected charger port.

Remove the disconnected charger port.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
