              Removing back panel screws               
  • Remove the 8 PHILIPS#0 screws

              Removing back panel               
  • Stick a plastic card (or fingernail) into the gap between panel and the body. Then lift the panel up (long side with speakers closest).

              Removing battery screws               
  • Use your PHILIPS#0 and remove the 4 screws

              Removing the battery               
  • Lift battery from bottom side first (marked with red line)

              Finally detaching the battery               
  • Detach battery cable grabbing the side and pulling the cable upward.

              Inserting the new battery               
  • Insert the battery and push the plug into the socket downward.

              Re-inserting the screws               
  • Re-insert the screws in the holes circled red (on this image), which is where you removed them previously.

              The back panel gets re-inserted               
  • Insert the hinge-side middle screw (must be done first otherwise casing may bulge) and insert rest of panel. On the hinge side, press down on the sides (if there is bulging) until you hear it snap. Insert the two other hinge-side screws (marked with orange on image). After that, insert the other 5 screws (yellow).

Sadly no, I have no idea, chromebookparts.com doesn’t have a part either, haven’t found one anywhere yet
