I want to use my camera to take pictures, but it will not turn on.

Plug the camera into a computer or a wall charger with a USB cable for several hours. If it still won’t turn on, then you may have a dead battery. You will need to buy a new one and replace it.

After replacing the battery, attempt to power the camera on. If the camera will not power on, disassemble the camera and replace the power switch with a new one.

There may be a bad wiring connection on your motherboard, or there could possibly be an electrical short. You will need to replace the motherboard.

I am trying to take pictures in low light settings but the flash on my camera will not come on.

The bulb on the flash of your camera has burned out and will need to be replaced.

There could be wiring and/or electronic shortages on the motherboard which is thus creating no flash from the camera. You will need to replace the motherboard.

The battery is low and not giving power to the flash of the camera. You will need to charge it by plugging the camera into the wall charger, a powered USB port, or by removing the battery and charging it separately with the manufacturer-provided battery charger.

I press the flash button, but the flash assembly doesn’t eject from the camera.

The flash assembly mechanism is broken, and will need to be replaced.

I would like to use my camera all day but every time I use it, it dies within a couple of hours or less.

Your battery may not have been fully charged, which means you should follow the proper charging sequence. Plug the camera into a computer to charge the battery or remove the batteries from the camera and place it in the wall charger.

If the battery has been fully charged, but the battery still does not last long, then your battery may be old or worn out. You will need to replace the battery with another one of the same model from Samsung.

I am trying to use my camera, but my lens seems jammed.

Small dirt, sand, lint, etc. can get stuck in the mechanism and impede movement. You can use an air canister to blow out debris.

If cleaning the lens mechanism with compressed air did not work, then the mechanisms may have failed. The Lens Unit will need to be replaced.

When I turn on my camera, I cannot view any of the contents on my screen.

The screen may have stopped working if you dropped it or subjected it to any impacts. This means the screen will need to be replaced to function properly.

There may be electrical shorts or faulty electronic connections on the motherboard. The motherboard will need to be replaced.

My camera turns on but will not take a picture.

The mechanisms in the capture button or the connections to the motherboard may have failed. The capture button will need to be replaced.

My camera doesn’t take clear pictures. It only takes blurry, smudged, or distorted photos.

With the lens deployed, use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the lens. Avoid using water to clean the lens, as water may damage the electronics of the camera.

Examine the lens and determine whether the lens has any scratches. If the lens is scratched, it will need to be replaced.

After cleaning the lens and determining that the lens is not scratched, the camera’s autofocus functionality may be broken. The motherboard will need to be replaced.

If the camera is able to record audio using an external microphone via the headset jack, then the internal microphone may be broken. The internal microphone will need to be replaced.

If the camera is able to record audio using only the internal microphone, and not an external microphone, then the headset jack may be broken. The headset jack will need to be replaced.
