              Display
  • Heat the surface of the display with a heatgun for approx. 2 minutes at 200°C.

  • Insert an iFixit Jimmy between the display and the rest of the device, and carefully cut through the adhesive around the phone.

Step 3

  • Loosen the display, while still applying heat with the heat gun.
  • The display may shatter.
  • Carefully remove any broken glass with a vacuum.

  • Remove the cover on the display connector.
  • Remove the display connector.

  • Remove remnants of the old display and clean the phone.

  • Leave the original liner on the new display. Plug the new display in and test it.
  • Turn the phone off again.
