Screen keeps flickering on and off.
Your phone settings may need to be updated. To update your phone, navigate from home screen to the settings tab. Select display. Select update.
Your phone has water damage. Water damages electronic components and may have damaged the display cable. To repair the display of your device, go to the screen replacement guide.
Your phone may have been dropped. When the phone is dropped a lot, the flex cable may have come loose.
Your device won’t turn on. The screen is black.
Your battery has run out of power. Plug in the phone to charge it.
Your battery is loose. Replace the battery. To replace the battery, go to the blank guide.
The screen does not turn on when the device power button is pressed.
Your phone was more than likely dropped to cause this issue. In order to fix this you can either contact Samsung or stores near you for help with replacement of the screen. Another idea to fix your device’s screen is to purchase a new panel that corresponds with this phone. To replace the screen go to the screen replacement guide.
Your screens connector for the screen to the motherboard may have gotten loose. In order to fix this you can either contact Samsung or stores near you for help with replacement. Another alternative is you need to open the phone and reconnect the screen to the motherboard. To replace the screen go to the screen replacement guide.
The screen remains black when powered on and there are no indicator lights lit up.
Your device may be out of battery. Using an approved charger, plug your device in and allow to charge for 15 minutes. If device does not turn on after pressing power button for 15 seconds attempts to replace charger or charging port can be made.
Dust may have gathered inside your charging port or charger. To solve this issue try to blow into the entrances of your charging port and charger.
Over time or with other people using your device something might have gotten loose. Please open up your device using the appropriate tools and tighten all connections to hardware.
The sound coming from the device is messed up, distorted, or not working
Try plugging in headphone in the headphone jack a few time. Sometimes the device tricks itself that it is in headphone mode, and this will update the phone so it is not in headphone mode.
Try leaving the device out on a table, come back in 24 hours, then check if the audio works. This will allow the device to dry.
Replace the speakers inside the phone. Open the back of the phone, remove the battery, remove all ten screws using a phillips screwdriver. Take out the speakers, and install the new speaker.
Home button either will not depress or does not appear to perform any action on the screen.
The home button has become physically dislodged or looks to be off-kilter.
In some cases, the button can become dirty or filled with gunk and can cause it to become stuck and not work anymore.
One of the cables that connects the home button to the motherboard has become disconnected and needs to be attached again to work. If the device has gotten wet this can cause the cables to become damaged as well.
Volume button will not push down or does not cause the volume to decrease.
The volume button has become physically dislodged or looks to be off-kilter.
Depending on the environment they are used, the volume keys can become dirty or filled with gunk and can cause it to become stuck and not work anymore.
The cable that connect the volume keys to the motherboard has become disconnected and needs to be attached again to work. If the device has gotten wet this can cause the switches or cable to become damaged as well.
