              Removing Back Casing               
  • Using your finger nails or the spudger; pry the plastic casing open, and pull away from the body of the phone.

              Remove Battery               
  • Gently pull the battery out of the phone.

              Remove Screws               
  • Unscrew all of the screws.
  • Be sure to set aside in a safe place.

Step 4

              Pry Off Back of Phone               
  • Insert the plastic opening tool between the silver frame and the white face of the phone to pry off the front face.
  • Make sure to pry around the entire frame to loosen it before proceeding.
  • Use your thumbs to separate the motherboard from the back of the phone

              Open Up the Motherboard               
  • With the plastic opening tool, lift up the flap to to fully open the motherboard.

              Detach Motherboard               
  • With the plastic opening tool, lift the second flap up.

              Locate Home Button               
  • Choose the motherboard side that contains the home button, as shown in the image.

              Remove Home Button               
  • Use the plastic opening tool to push the home button out.
  • Push the button from the face of the phone inwards as indicated in the first image.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
