- Using your hands, carefully remove the back panel by popping the open slit, near the headphone jack, outwards.

- Using your fingernail or nylon spudger, remove the battery by lifting upward in the recess of the bottom right corner.

- Remove the (6) 4mm screws using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

- Using the black spudger, carefully unhinge and pry the secondary rear panel , which houses the camera lens and speaker.
- The metal trim of the headphone jack may come loose during this process.

- Using the spudger, gently pry upward on the motherboard by the right side.
- Motherboard is connected to shield plate with ribbon cable.

- Using a spudger, carefully unhinge the gray shield plate by lifting upwards on the right side.
- The shield plate will not be fully removed, it is attached to the front panel with a ribbon cable.

Step 7
- Using the spudger lift up the LCD screen and replace with the new screen.
