Step 1
Remove the display
- As mentioned before, display is glued in. Heating it up to soften the glue is recommended. You can use dedicated heat plate, hair dryer, heat gun on low power or 3D printers heated bed.I went for the last option, because of even heat distribution and regulated temperature - set to 60 C.
- When display is heated up, insert a prying tool between the display and case perimeter - top part is recommended to start as it prevents damaging screen PCB located at the bottom.
- Using suction cups will make the removal much easier.
- Move the prying tool around to cut all of the glue.
- Unplug the display flex cable and remove the display.

Open the outer case
- Remove all philips-head screws from around the perimeter.
- Use a prying tool to disconnect two parts of the case.

Remove the charging port
- Now you can see the PCB with the charging port.
- Disconnect three flex cables.
- Use a prying tool or a small flat-head screwdriver to remove the PCB.
Now you can see the PCB with the charging port.

Step 4
Tests
- Install a new charging port.
- Test if device is charging properly.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
