The tablet shuts down during use without being prompted to.

Plug your tablet into a working outlet with the proper cord and allow time to charge.

If your device won’t hold a charge and shuts down often, the battery may need replacing. Batteries have limited lifespans and the device will often outlast the battery. Use this guide to replace the battery.

The tablet doesn’t charge when plugged into a working outlet.

If your device is not charging or charges erratically, the charging cord may be broken. Cords have limited lives and need to be replaced once broken. Try using the cord to charge a different device, and if the other device won’t charge or charges erratically again, plan to replace the cord. Low quality and cheaper cords will often have shorter lifespans than ones distributed straight from the device manufacturer.

Check the charging port for water damage.

Check the cord for missing pins or frayed ends.

Hold down the power button for 3-5 seconds to ensure device doesn’t turn on.

Try an alternate manufacturer approved charging cable or wireless charging pad.

Check out this charging port replacement video for a similar device.

A hard reset will restore the device to factory default, so be sure to backup your data before you do this. Open Settings.
