What you need

  • I recommend wearing eye protection to avoid getting glass shards in the eyes. It is very important to heat the edges of the display well with a hair dryer/heat gun to loosen the double-sided adhesive and allow the insertion of a pry tool to open it.
  • Insert the pry tool between the colored plastic edge and the glass (not between the plastic and aluminum edge) and begin to separate the display from the body.

  • Preferably, lift it from the bottom to the top to avoid damage to the flat cable and the connector

  • Unhook the display connector

  • Remove the old display
