  • Slide the back cover off the back of the phone to reveal the battery.

  • Place a finger in one or both of the indents by the bottom of the battery. Then pull out to remove the battery from the phone.

  • Identify and remove the 6 screws on the rear case of the phone.

  • Using a spudger, separate the rear case of the phone from the front case.

  • Use a spudger to peel back the green processing chip, exposing the wires underneath. Identify the thin golden band which connects the camera to the rest of the phone.

Step 7

  • Using the spudger, separate the golden band from its resting dock. It should come apart fairly easily, like undoing a bit of velcro. Once separated, the camera should slide out.
