  • Before starting the replacement, turn off the device and disconnect all cords.
  • Close the device, lay it face down, and remove the battery.

  • Open the device with the keyboard and screen showing.

  • Loosen the chosen key by prying all four corners with a plastic opening tool.
  • Push the plastic opening tool under the key and carefully pull upwards until the key comes loose and pops off.

  • Slowly grab the loose key away from the keyboard.
  • Be careful to leave the plastic pieces underneath the key in tact and unmoved. If plastic pieces do get moved, take tweezers and lift them back into place.
