What you need

Step 1

              Battery               
  • Make sure the laptop is powered off, and unplugged before removing the battery.
  • Slide the battery switch to the unlock symbol, and the battery will pop up.
  • Remove the battery.

Step 2

              Back Panel               
  • Locate, and unscrew the 11 Phillips 8mm back cover screws, and 1 Phillips 5mm screw on the RAM cover. Use a #1 Philips screw driver to remove the screws.
  • If there are rubber pads covering the screws, use a spudger to remove the rubber pads.

Locate, and unscrew the 11 Phillips 8mm back cover screws, and 1 Phillips 5mm screw on the RAM cover. Use a #1 Philips screw driver to remove the screws.

Step 3

  • Insert the plastic opening tool in the break between the back panel, and the keyboard.
  • Drag the opening tool around the edge to separate it.
  • Pull the back panel off of the laptop.

Step 4

              Hard Drive               
  • Unscrew the 3 Phillips 3.5 mm screws. Use a size 1 Phillips screwdriver.
  • Lift the hardrive.
  • Pull the hard drive out.

Unscrew the 3 Phillips 3.5 mm screws. Use a size 1 Phillips screwdriver.

Lift the hardrive.

Pull the hard drive out.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
