Introduction

Hard disk drives get filled with unnecessary data or reached at its maximum capacity as a result of long-term read/write processes or external causes like heat. Such issues might cause software interrupts and could drastically drop the performance of the device. In the case of Samsung NT300E5X-AD5S, the default operating system (Windows 7) would notify you with an error message when there is an issue with the HDD. If then, replacing an old HDD to a new one or SSD could solve those problems.

Before taking down the device, make sure to remove the battery by following Step 1.

This guide demonstrates disassembly of the components, replacement of the HDD, and verification method for the new HDD (or SSD) installation.
