The battery won’t charge and the laptop shuts down

If the device is not turning on, or is turning off due to a dead battery, then there might be a problem with your adapter. Plug in your adapter and try turning the laptop on, and if the laptop is still unresponsive then you might have a faulty adapter. Replace the adapter with a new one, and try again, and if the same problem occurs then you are having trouble with the battery of the laptop.

If the laptop’s battery is dying quickly or not lasting as long as it should, then their might be a problem with either the adapter or the battery. First turn on the laptop and plug in the adapter, then watch the battery icon on the Windows Taskbar. The laptop battery icon should show a charging symbol over the battery. If the battery life is decreasing, this would suggest there is a problem with your charging cable. If this is the case, replace the cable, and try again. If the device is still not charging properly, then there might be a problem with the battery. This would suggest the battery is either old, and no longer holding a charge, or is damaged and needs to be replaced. Having problems saving or loading files from your internal or external storage device

If your device has issues saving or downloading media or files to an external USB flash drive, your drive might be defective. First, open the search bar on the Start Menu, and type “Device Manager”. In Device Manager, if your storage device, such as a USB flash drive, does not appear under “Storage Devices”, it may be defective, and need to replaced or repaired. Attempt to insert the USB flash drive into a different USB port, or try a different drive.

Your screen remains black and the laptop wont turn on

If your screen refuses to illuminate after fully opening the laptop try checking if the device is powered on using the power button. If you can confirm the laptop is running, but the screen remains blank, then search for indications of exterrier damage like dents or cracks on both sides of the screen. Oftentimes, a screen issues originate from accidental damage like dropping the device or applying extreme pressure while stored in a bag. If the problem lies internally, then you will need to open the device and run an operations diagnostic to find the problem.

The laptop turn off unexpectedly and without notification

The computer may accumulate dust or debris in time, which would cause overheating. This could easily be fixed by using an air canister or air duster to remove the dust from the fans and vents. If your laptop is heating up make sure to position the laptop on a flat, hard surface. This would avoid blocking the vents and allowing the computer to cool down. You do not hear sound from your laptop speakers, or headphone jack

If the device speakers sound distorted, or do not produce sound at all, the speakers may be defective. To test this, try plugging in a pair of headphones or speaker to the headphone jack, and test the sound.

If no sound is coming from the headphone jack, try using a different pair of headphones or a different auxiliary cable. If the problem persists, make sure the headphone jack is not loose, and is properly connected with the body of the laptop. If the headphone jack is loose, it may need to be replaced.
