- Find the triangle arrow on the back of the phone.
- Use gentle, firm pressure to press down on the triangle arrow with your thumb until you hear a popping sound as the cover releases from the phone.
- Slide the cover down to remove it. Set it aside.

- Find the access notch at the end of the battery compartment.

- Place your thumb on the edge of the battery.
- Lift the battery to remove it. Set it aside.

Speaker
- Once the battery is removed, use the Phillips #00 screwdriver to unscrew the 4 3/16" screws holding the black plastic cover in place.

- Remove the headphone cover from the left side and the volume cover from the right side of the black plastic cover.

- Remove the black plastic cover from the back of the phone. This may take a little effort.

- The speaker is located on the opposite side of the black plastic cover. Using your fingernail, pry the speaker out of the cover.

- Replace with a new speaker.
