              Blade/ Blade Cover               
  • Although this is not a difficult fix, it can definitely make a mess.
  • Lay down a dirty towel or work rag and place the saw on top of the towel.
  • Handle the saw with care and avoid placing your hands on or near the blade when possible.

Step 2

  • Use the crescent wrench to remove the hex washer head screw and the washer.
  • Gently lift the blade up and pull it off of the internal threaded shaft.
  • If the hex washer head screw, or the entire blade spins as you turn the wrench, a quick jerk of the crescent wrench should loosen the screw.
  • Although many screws loosen in the clockwise direction, the hex washer head screw on this circular saw loosens in the counter-clockwise direction.

Step 3

  • Lift up on the blade cover until it unsnaps from the washer.
  • The blade cover will come off easier if the bulk of the cover is facing away from the saw.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
