What you need
Step 1
Outer Case
- Remove the six screws from the underside of the console with a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

- Flip the Sega Genesis upright.

- Gently lift the top casing.
- Note: the case will be connected to the main board by LED wires.

- Bend out the LED leads into vertical positions.

- Slide the LED wire apparatus off the lead pins.
- Note: observe which color wire corresponds with which length of pin.

- Separate the main board from the outer case.

Motherboard
- Remove single black screw from the outside of the bottom cover, using a Philips screwdriver.

- Using a Philips screwdriver, remove 11 screws securing silver casing.

- Remove silver case.

- Remove single golden screw on motherboard using Philips screwdriver.
- Note: Push headphone jack to the side.

- Remove two black screws on the left and right sides of the cartridge slot.

Step 12
- Remove motherboard.

- Re-install new motherboard.
Re-install new motherboard.
To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
