- Take the purple gear out of the brush head body.

- Pull out the roller brush from the brush head.
- Take out the black plastic band.
- The black band is an important component and will be needed for reassembly so keep it carefully.

- Pull out the side screws from the right and left side of the roller brush.
- There are two screws, one on each side.

- Take the new roller brush and fit the two grey screws/fittings on either side of the roller brush until they are secure.

Cat hair will jam up in the small gap between the gear and the bushing on the turbine and will cause enough friction to stop the turbine. I used a needle to dig out the hair and it solved the problem.
